Been a while between posts, but yes folks we have movement.
We went quickly from land settlement to base stage to frame stage. Roof goes on this week and the bricks should start.
So in two - three weeks we had a pipes then a slab and a frame and a roof. Great progress.

Were on our way...
On Saturday we went out to the block and saw we now have pipes and temp fencing and a site manager called Guy. We hope to have a slab in this week so another trip on the weekend to check that out.
Its been a long journey, a couple of hiccups just before final plans with our data cabling.
Data cabling held us up by a week. Henley not using the company we had originally planned it with and he had not sent in plans and then wouldnt contact me. Finally had to go with a new company. This also frustrating as they sold packages and didnt seem to really know much about what we wanted to do. It drives me crazy that you are paying them and yet they want you to know all about smart wiring a house first. AAARGH.
Anyway we got there and I think we are getting what will work, fingers crossed, we will at least be NBN ready, so I hope that hurries up and comes into our area as their is no internet access really. I will be hanging out at Macca's to keep my email etc up to date.

Land Ho!
At long last, we recieved notice that the statement of compliance has been done.
This means only a couple more weeks to land title.
So build probably wont start until August now, the builders going to be pushing it to get us in by xmas.
Hopefully we are going to have a fairly dry winter so that process doesnt get held up by the weather too.
Keep you posted

Waiting for title
Still waiting... I contacted the rep from The Heartlands Asset 1 who advised me that title is now going to be in mid June.
He seemed genuinely disinterested in why I was a bit unhappy about this.
You should of got a letter..., no I didnt. Hmm... so can you follow that up for me as if Im not getting mail how am I going to know when I need to get title sorted out? Spose so he says.. right this is going to be good.
I told him I was advised it would be mid april only in January. By who .. By Him....... theres been a lot of rain. Hmm again.
I had been out there in early feb with Don when he cam over and it was moving along at a pace. From what I can tell they are trying to get a number of stages ready all at once now to get there money for the next lot.
I asked him if Henley homes had been advised, he said all of them knew about it.
Funny they have been asking me when title will be ready , so it seems to me that Henley probably didnt get the elusive Letter either. He just said all the house builders have been advised.
I doubt it or I would of had my admin person let me know when I spoke to them a couple of weeks ago!
Seems it is true, property developers art lacking on the customer service, dont understand or seem to care that you want to sort out finances , builders etc and generally have an idea of when you might be looking at moving. Its a good thing that we got a contract price fix too as otherwise this would of cost us approx another $5 - $10k in costs with the builder. I had to fight with Henley to agree that my contract was fixed too so its been a bit stressful and we havent even got a brick laid yet.
My deposit is sitting in a high interest account and I was going to move it to the new home loan account which is not as good, glad I didnt for now as that is really another two months waiting.
I had to prompt him to follow up on the letter to send to me and he did say after much prodding that the concrete is going down and the electrical should be in this next week and we should be able to go ahead with soil testing in mid may. Weather permitting of course.
I now hope that it will be a pretty smooth ride once title happens. cross fingers hey.

ah tender at last
We finally went to tender. Very happy with all our inclusions and didnt bump the price up too much, considering they had costed in council charges and then I asked that I thought they were included in the site costs. Yes they were, so that brought the price down too. Gotta be on the ball with what you get included.
We have done the colours and will upload on here v. soon. So far no changes. Just waiting for the contract appointment and then the final construction loan application can go in to the bank with fingers crossed.

The Outside Stuff
Front door - Corinthian transparent glass in Rich Chocolate
Cant find a pic in chocolate.
Raked with grey mortar.
Cant find pic with grey mortar, but it looks better on the houses we looked at and matches with the roof, downpipes.
